Trying to Bring the Anthropic Partner Network to My School
I applied for the Anthropic Partner Network through my school. I am a student. There is no local Anthropic rep in Singapore to call. This is mostly an exercise in doing the thing anyway.
The ask
The partner requirement is straightforward on paper: enrol ten people from the institution in Anthropic Academy and have them complete the Claude Partner Network learning path. The advice in the brief is to pick the people who would anchor the practice — delivery leads, architects, the ones you would put in front of a customer.
Translated to a polytechnic, that reads to me as: ICT students already working on AI projects, and faculty looking to upskill. I am happy to be one of the ten and to coordinate the rest on my end.
Steps, in order:
- Get ten people through the Anthropic Academy learning path.
- Submit the confirmation form.
- Wait two to three weeks.
Why it is worth NP's time
Three things come with the partnership, and each one maps to something the school already wants:
- Claude Education — school-wide access with learning mode, which is the version that makes students explain rather than the version that does the assignment.
- Student Builder Programme — funded API credits for students building with Claude. Credits are the single biggest blocker for student projects; every hackathon team I know has hit a spend limit mid-build.
- Claude Certified Architect — a credentialled pipeline into an industry standard. That is a line on a graduate's CV that means something outside the school.
Where it stands
First concrete steps are due back from Anthropic. In the meantime, ten students or faculty can start the learning path now — it is not gated on the application.

Why I bothered
The honest reason is that I use these tools every day and I would rather my whole cohort had them than hold a private advantage. The second reason is that partnerships like this do not appear because an institution requests them. They appear because someone inside sends the email. I am not the obvious someone. I sent it anyway.
